Comal ISD Bass Fishing Club lauded by board after reeling in honors

In a meeting Thursday evening, the Comal ISD Board of Trustees recognized the Bass Fishing Club, which was named the Hill Country Region district champion for the third consecutive year. Six anglers also advanced to the state tournament in May, according to a media release.

The six students who competed at the state level include Caleb Gibbons and Brody Henderson from Canyon Lake High School, Tyson House and Alejandro Rodriguez from Pieper High School, and Braxton Alexander and Cade Dornburg from Smithson Valley High School.
